Who we are
This website is operated by Kim Fisher, doing business as The Kim Fisher, based in Scottsdale, Arizona ("we," "us," or "our"). If you have any question about this policy or your information, write to us at kim@thekimfisher.com.
Information you give us
We collect information you choose to share with us:
- Newsletter signup. Your name and email address when you join The Science & Soul Weekly or download a free guide. Our email list is managed through Kit, our email service provider.
- Text program. Your mobile number when you opt in to receive daily mantra texts.
- Waitlists and event registrations. Your name and email when you join a program waitlist or register for a live workshop.
- Member portal account. Your name, email, and login credentials if you are enrolled in one of our programs and use the member portal.
- Purchases. When you buy a program or workshop, payment is processed by Stripe. We receive your name, email, and confirmation of payment. We never see or store your full card number.
- Coaching information. Information you choose to share as a program participant, such as goals or measurements, which we use only to deliver your program and never share without your permission.
- Messages. Anything you send us by email, text, or through the community area of the member portal.
Information collected automatically
Like nearly every website, some information arrives on its own:
- Server logs. Our hosting provider, Netlify, records standard technical data such as IP address, browser type, and pages visited. This helps keep the site secure and fast.
- Cookies from embedded services. Pages that include embedded content, such as video players, a Stripe checkout, or social media content, may set cookies from those services. Their own privacy policies govern that data.
- Analytics. We may use basic analytics to understand which pages serve readers best. We use this in aggregate, never to identify you personally.
How we use your information
- To send you the emails and texts you signed up for.
- To deliver the programs, workshops, and portal access you purchased.
- To process payments and send receipts and confirmations.
- To answer your messages.
- To improve the website and our offerings.
- To comply with legal obligations.
We do not sell or rent your personal information to anyone. No mobile information will be shared with third parties or affiliates for marketing or promotional purposes. Text messaging opt-in data and consent are never shared with any third party.
Who we share information with
We share information only with the service providers who help us run the business, and only what each one needs to do its job:
- Kit delivers our emails.
- Stripe processes payments.
- Netlify hosts the website.
- Zoom hosts our live workshops and coaching calls.
- Our text messaging provider delivers the daily mantra texts.
We may also disclose information if the law requires it, or as part of a business transition such as a sale or merger, in which case this policy would continue to protect your information.
The text message program
- You receive texts only if you opted in.
- Message frequency varies. Message and data rates may apply.
- Reply STOP to any message to unsubscribe at any time. Reply HELP for help.
- Consent to receive texts is never a condition of any purchase.
Your choices and your rights
- Every email we send includes an unsubscribe link. It works immediately.
- Reply STOP to any text and the texts end.
You may also email us at kim@thekimfisher.com to ask what information we have about you, to correct it, or to have it deleted. Depending on where you live, these may be legal rights under your state's privacy law or, for visitors outside the United States, under laws such as the GDPR. We honor reasonable requests from everyone, regardless of where you live, and we will never treat you differently for exercising your rights.
Retention and security
We keep your information while you are subscribed, enrolled, or a client, and afterward only as long as needed for legal, tax, and accounting purposes. We use reasonable safeguards to protect it. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security, yet we take the care of your information seriously.
Children
This website and our programs are designed for adults. We do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone under 18. If you believe a minor has provided us information, contact us and we will delete it.
Changes to this policy
If we change this policy, we will post the updated version here with a new effective date. Meaningful changes will be noted in our newsletter.
